Princess Märtha Louise's Christmas party was overshadowed by a sad memory: the first anniversary of the death of ex-husband Ari Behn.
Princess Märtha Louise of Norway (49) experienced "a completely different Christmas season" in 2020. Her Christmas party with the daughters Maud (17), Leah (15) and Emma (12) were marked by tears, as she now writes on Instagram. Together they cried for the late ex-husband and father Ari Behn (1972-2019).
Princess Märtha Louise explains: "Ari, the beloved father of my three girls, is no longer with us. He decided on this day last year to leave this world. Today we celebrated his life, we wept over his loss and how much we miss him. "
"Life hits us all"
The writer and artist, with whom the 49-year-old was married from 2002 to 2017, committed suicide on December 25th. He suffered from depression. "Life hits us all", says Princess Märtha Louise in her moving post. "We can't avoid him. We have to face him."
