In doing so, Kate contradicts critics – who have complained in recent weeks that the mother of three’s style is losing its appeal and becoming more and more boring – and is daring to do something completely new. Prince William’s wife combines white sneakers and a dark green long raincoat with her new jeans in a cool 70s look. A blue scarf and a beige sweater peeking out from the sleeves of her anorak complete the Princess of Wales’ cool off-duty style.
Jeans for Genes Day: Catherine makes a statement with her choice of clothing
Did Kate choose this special fashion moment by chance last Friday? From September 18th to 24th, the UK will host Jeans for Genes Days, an annual event that raises funds and awareness for the genetic disease community. This week the charity is calling for people to wear jeans to school or work and donate up to £2 to those affected by genetic disorders. Both William and Kate make such a statement with their pants.
Back to the Roots: Her new jeans are reminiscent of looks from her student days
With her new jeans, Kate not only brings a breath of fresh air into her wardrobe, but is also based on her fashion taste and the styles before her time as a royal. Even as a student, the Brit preferred wide-cut trousers, but back then she opted for the more subtle bootcut silhouette. Now Kate is switching from the more reserved format of flared trousers to the next level and enchanting with wide flared legs and new fashion courage.
