Princess Victoria: Neighbor chats about her new holiday home

Princess Victoria and her family can look forward to their first summer in their new holiday home. But since they have probably reckoned without the neighbors.

In the exclusive surroundings of Fågelbrolandet, Princess Victoria, 46, and Prince Daniel, 49, have had a property converted according to their wishes in order to enjoy weekends, holidays and time out from the stresses of everyday life as the crown princess couple. Discretion is of course very important in this region, where Sweden’s high society lives. Only one neighbor seems to know nothing about it.

Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel’s holiday home is ready to move into

In the magazine “Hänt”, singer Susie Päivärinta, 59, chats bluntly about the family and the new summer house of the Swedish royals. “They will definitely feel comfortable there, they live maybe ten minutes away from us, on a great property by the lake, it’s really great where they live,” enthuses the musician.

About two years ago it was announced that Victoria and Daniel had bought a property by the water in the municipality of Värmdö outside of Stockholm. They were able to buy it in 2020, but only one year later they received a building permit, so that a new main building and three other buildings could be built in addition to the existing boathouse and jetty. The property should also have a swimming pool and be protected from intruders and onlookers by an eight-foot fence and wall.

“They were there and ate with the whole family”

The holiday home on the 1.6 hectare site is said to have been completed this summer. The magazine “Svensk Damtidning” estimates the property at a total value of 50 million crowns (about 4.3 million euros). Apparently, Victoria and Daniel jumped at the opportunity to enjoy their luxurious holiday home with their children Princess Estelle, 11, and Prince Oscar, 7, to the full before the kids started school. Because despite protective fences and walls, Susie believes she knows that the family has already moved into their summer house, at least “they were there and ate and hung out with the whole family”.

So you could already meet the royals in their new holiday environment. Singer Susie Päivärinta also has a little anecdote to tell. “It was a bit funny because my son is currently working at Fågelbro Krog (a restaurant on the grounds of Fågelbro Golf & Country Club, editor’s note) and last weekend or the weekend before last Prince Daniel came with his whole family,” she says out of the box. golf-country-club-prinz-daniel

Prince Daniel is a fan of her partner Stefan Gustavsson, 68, a former professional ice hockey player with whom he used to play ice hockey. “So they talked, and then Leon (Susie’s son, editor’s note) showed them around a bit,” reports the musician. “My son Leon trains and is very good at golf and such, so he showed the family around the area. It was a lot of fun.”

Musician provides intimate insights into the private life of the Swedish royals

The 59-year-old doesn’t seem to be able to stop chatting when it comes to the Swedish royal family. “Victoria is so cute too. We played at a big party she was at last year when it was the wonderful Mikael Storåker’s birthday. He’s a loyal fan and she was so cute because she was so focused when we did the dance to ‘Okej okej'”, Susie grants private insights into the life of the royals. “We did a dance with the audience and she was so amazing because she could do the dance straight away.”

Susie is very happy about her neighbors, after all she “always liked them,” she explains. And further: “They seem so real and authentic. He is very fond of sports, so it will probably be a great place for them, because there is a lot of golf, tennis, padel, people are out and about a lot. The whole Fågelbro stable too , there are many horses. It will probably be a good place for them.”
