Ubisoft continues to renew its products, in the wake of its September announcements. After the announced redesign of its emblematic saga, Assassin’s Creed, the hexagonal giant sets out to conquer new horizons. Project U is the provisional name given to what looks very much like a universe completely different from the usual Ubisoft successes.
We currently only have one visual for the game, which does not come close to any franchise known to the publisher, whether it is Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry or Tom Clancy’s. The aesthetic is reminiscent of a cartoon or cell-shaded style. According to the game page, it would be a “sco-op hooter in the form of sessions, in which many players unite to overcome an overwhelming threat “. A description that evokes games like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood to name only the most popular.
Waiting for more details on the game itself, Ubisoft has launched a call for applications to participate in the first closed test phases of Project U. These will only be open to PC players residing in the following European countries:

- Ireland
- Norway
- Sweden
- Finland
- Denmark
- Netherlands
- Belgium
- Luxemburg
- Austria
- Swiss
- Portugal
- Spain
- Italy
Project U is announced as being entirely in English for this test phase. Those interested can register by going to the game’s official website. No date has yet been communicated for the start of the test, but those selected will be notified by email.
