The series of tangible scandals in Upper Austria amateur football continued on Wednesday evening under floodlights in Buchkirchen. After almost 70 minutes, the triggers were the Blaue-Elf-Wels players, who after a “traffic light card” had insulted referee Fejziu S. violently. Before the referee was even physically attacked. But luck: The referee was lucky because he was able to turn away in a flash, a punch didn’t land in his face, but “only” on his upper body. Whereupon the referee stopped the game and needed police protection when leaving. But as if the incidents in the reserve game of the 1st class Midwest hadn’t been enough, there was an insane threat against Fejziu S. It read: “We’re blocking all the streets in Wels because of you to hold you accountable.”
