The outcome of the vote was in little doubt: Vladimir Putin was re-elected President of the Russian Federation for the fifth time with 87.28% of the votes. A clear score that doesn’t fool many people. Another notable fact is the marked increase in participation and the concert of demonstrations hostile to the regime, inside and outside Russia.

After three days of voting, the Russian ballot boxes delivered their verdict: Vladimir Putin will be at the head of the country until 2030. In power since 2000, Vladimir Putin returns for a fifth term with an official score of 87.28 % according to the updated results published Monday by the Electoral Commission, and complies with all the requirements of power to legitimize him at the head of the country.

Show progression in score

A large improvement compared to the score of almost 77% in 2018 was the first of the Kremlin’s demands on the regional governors responsible for voting operations. Another requirement was to be able to show a vote, filmed by state television in the four annexed regions of Ukraine and which will remain so.

These two essential objectives for the master of the Kremlin fulfilled, the state televisions were able to deliver their analyzes to the Russians on Sunday evening: these figures prove to what extent they support their President, follow him and encourage him in what is called in Russia the special operation against kyiv. These figures would also show the country’s resistance to the West and its maneuvers to destabilize it.

The degree of fraud, if it occurred, will never be measured

The degree of fraud, if it took place, will never be measured, but never before has Vladimir Putin received such a score and never have the other candidates obtained so few votes. Figures which make the opposition say, while the protest vote at noon worked very well, that the score of the master of the Kremlin has nothing to do with the reality of the country.
