Putin will meet on Saturday with Macron and with Biden


MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Saturday, the Tass news agency reported on Friday, citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The head of the Kremlin will also have a telephone exchange with US President Joe Biden, Dimitri Peskov also told the RIA agency, amid US fears that Russia is launching an imminent offensive against Ukraine.

This meeting between the Russian president and his American counterpart is organized at the request of the United States, indicated RIA the spokesman of the Kremlin.

In Washington, a representative of the White House announced that Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin will meet on Saturday morning.

“Russia offered a phone call on Monday. We made a counter offer for Saturday, and they accepted,” he told Reuters.
