With a total of 236.495 points, the Swiss gymnasts at the World Championships in Liverpool fell well short of expectations.

Qualifying for the World Championships in Liverpool was disappointing for the Swiss gymnasts. They earned a total of 236,495 points. The young STV quintet was therefore unable to continue the good performances in August at the European Championships. In Munich, Switzerland had made it into the team final and only just missed out on a medal in fourth place.

Missed final

In qualifying in England, not much went together. The Swiss got off to a cold start with three falls on the high bar caused by Noe Seifert, who was fifth at the European Championships, as well as Andrin Frey and Moreno Kratter. The other five devices continued in a similar style. Only the recovered Taha Serhani remained in his performances without a fall and major mistakes.

After 3 of 6 subdivisions, the Swiss men only finished 10th. This means that the desired ranking in the top 12 is probably out of reach.

With 77.965 points, it should also be tight for Seifert to qualify for the all-around final of the top 24.
