Quantic Dream RUMOR: More details on Star Wars Eclipse and the Dreamland and Spellcaster projects

Long partner of playstation, Quantic Dream has recently turned into a publisher and self-publisher, to allow himself the freedom to bring his projects to the platforms of his choice. He has so far only announced star wars eclipsebut rumors have it that he’s also working on a game inspired by the demo The Dark Sorcerer.

AccountNGTwhich had mentioned this last title first, rages again by sharing information on the studio’s upcoming projects. This game derived from The Dark Sorcerer would therefore be called Dreamland (information supported by Tom Henderson) and would take place in a universe of dark fantasy humorous. The story would be non-linear and interactive, it would have been written by David Cage himself. The project would be carried out from Paris since 2018 or 2019, with the aim of release it before Star Wars Eclipse on PC and consoles in cross generation : PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S would therefore currently be targeted.

A mobile game whose code name would be Spellcaster would also be in development since 2019, with the engine Unity. It would be a card game also created by a Parisian unit.

Finally, star wars eclipse. This is an action-adventure game open-world also featuring an interactive choice-based story. A good part of the Parisian team has been working on the project since the beginning of 2021, and particularly on the cutscenes, the story, the artistic direction and the engine, while Quantic Dream Montreal would focus on competitive multiplayer, gameplay and the level design. It would be ambitious and original, but its creative process would be complicated, due to features that must be integrated or modified in the game engine, the number of playable characters larger than the studio’s previous games and a storyline still in progress. of writing. It would strongly mix action and storytelling with inspirations like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and The Last of Us on your mind. Its release would be distant, very distant, in particular because of the difficulty in recruiting (the legal setbacks would not be there for nothing), but the PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC would be in the crosshairs.

Patience will therefore be required to discover more about it, but dreamland could take care of us until then. Waiting to know more, Detroit: Become Human is available from €26.25 on Amazon.co.uk.
