Rachel Zegler is Snow White: the first photo from the live remake revealed by Disney

“Snow White” is finally revealed: here is the first photo of the live action remake which has already caused so much talk…

Disney unveils the first image of its live action remake of Snow White directed by Marc Webb.

The photo, published by The Hollywood Reporter, reveals Rachel Zegler in the title role, wearing the princess’ iconic blue, yellow and red dress, surrounded by the seven CGI dwarves and sitting in what appears to be their house.

As a reminder, Snow White is one of the most controversial films of the moment. After criticism regarding the choice of an actress of Colombian origin for the main role, the seven dwarves also created controversy.

Last year Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) violently criticized the studio for retelling “this fucking backwards story where seven dwarves live together in a cave.” These virulent remarks then pushed Disney to replace the dwarves with magical creatures. Dylan Postl, an actor suffering from dwarfism, then responded to Peter Dinklage who, according to him, was doing their cause a disservice by not giving dwarf actors the opportunity to work. And then in a twist, the actor Martin Klebba, also suffering from dwarfism, had been announced in the role of grumpy who will however appear in CGI.
