here are the minimum PC requirements, you won’t need a war machine!

With just over two weeks until its highly anticipated launch, developer Ninja Theory has lifted the lid on the PC specs players will need to run Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II at various levels.

hellblade 2

As expected for one of the first major presentations of Unreal Engine 5, the hardware requirements are quite high, but not across the board. Regardless of your target resolution or graphics configuration, all PC gamers will need a reasonably modern machine with 16 GB of RAM, 70 GB of free SSD storage space and a GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM. From there, the CPU and graphics card requirements increase significantly.

For the “Low 1080p” minimum configuration, you will need a Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor combined with an Nvidia GTX 1070, AMD RX 5700 or Intel Arc A580 GPU. It’s not too extreme, but it’s far from entry-level hardware.

Hellblade 2 will require a premium PC to play very comfortably

For 1440p, Ninja Theory recommends a processor Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X associated with an Nvidia RTX 3080, AMD RX 6800 XT or Intel Arc A770 graphics card. A substantial improvement over the minimum specifications. But again, these are previous generation graphics cards, which can be had quite moderately today.

If you want to fully enjoy the “Very High 4K” graphics spectacle, you will need a high-end gaming machine equipped with a processor Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X coupled with an Nvidia RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU.

Interestingly, Ninja Theory hasn’t specified a refresh rate for either of these presets on PC. This is probably explained by the fact that Hellblade II, which is very graphics intensive, is stuck at 30 frames per second on the Xbox Series X and S consoles in order to preserve visual fidelity and a “cinematic” presentation.

However, the developer has confirmed that the PC versions will support upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.0 and Intel XES to increase performance and refresh rates without drastically reducing image quality.
