Rachida Dati and Élise Lucet angry after an “altercation”? “Water has flowed under the bridges…”

This Thursday, January 18, radio host Éric Dussart shared, on his X account, an exclusive video of his show We’re doing TV again, broadcast on RTL. On this one, Élise Lucet is questioned about the nomination at the Ministry of Culture by Rachida Dati, looking back on their old “altercation”. As a reminder, in September 2015, an issue of Cash Investigation was broadcast, in which the 60-year-old journalist was trying to find out if the politician did have a conflict of interest with GDF Suez.

In the corridors of the European Parliament, the former news presenter tried to challenge Rachida Dati, who refused to answer her questions and ended up criticizing his “career” media that she judged “pathetic”. At the microphone of RTL, Élise Lucet assured that she was not at all worried about her future within France Télévisions “since no minister ever intervenes” to change the internal organization of the group. “Quite frankly, I think we had to talk on set several times. I interviewed her several times,” she said, estimating that“no question is ever wrong to ask”.

A show about to be canceled?

Following her momentum, the journalist clarified her relationship with Rachida Dati, ensuring that “water has flowed under the bridge”. “She must have changed her mind,” she said with a smile, remembering the strong words that the politician had used to talk about her career in the media. “We haven’t seen each other since,” she nevertheless stressed. As for the appointment to the Ministry of Culture of the former Minister of Justice, Élise Lucet was keen to clarify that she was not going “jump for joy” and that she never does it, for no personality. “I do my job professionally!” she said, silencing those who think that Rachida Dati would be able to “appoint the president and journalists of France Télévisions”, and therefore to put an end to Cash Investigation. “That’s not how it happens at all,” she hammered firmly.
