Rambo 6: “What am I going to fight? Arthritis?” Will Stallone be back for one last film?

It may not have been his war, but will it be his last film? Will Rambo come back to take down the bad guy in a 6th part? Stallone responds without tongue in cheek.

With Last Blood, released in 2019, Sylvester Stallone definitively closed the Rambo chapter, a character he played in 5 films. Initiated in 1983, the saga has spanned the ages, making this former green beret an icon of the 7th art.

Is it possible that Stallone will play this Vietnam veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress again? This is the question he was asked during a conference at the Toronto Festival. The sequence was filmed by JoBlo media.

Even if the studios want to make another one, what am I going to fight against? Arthritis?

“I might be done with Rambo. He’s done a lot of things; even if the studios want to make another one, what am I going to fight? Arthritis?”, joked Sylvester Stallone, 77. For the actor, playing Rambo is therefore definitely excluded.

However, the character could still return to the small screen with a new face, as the actor-director mentioned in 2019. The artist saw this prequel as a passing of the torch. “I always thought of Rambo when he was 16 or 17. He was great. I hope they make a prequel”Stallone said at the microphone of Screenrant.

“He was the captain of his American football team. He was the most popular student in his school, a super athlete. He was like Jim Thorpe [célèbre joueur de football américain] and the war changed him. If you saw him, he was the perfect guy.”explained the actor.

Trained by Colonel Trautman, John Rambo is a relentless war machine deployed by the American army in the Vietnamese jungle. This origin story would aim to tell how the young soldier transformed into a ruthless warrior. For the moment, no project of this type has come to fruition. However, it is not excluded that this will happen one day given the popularity of the character.

In the meantime, we can find Stallone in Expendables 4, in theaters on October 11!
