Rap, electro, variety… Bigflo and Oli create the Rose Festival in Toulouse

Scheduled for September 2 and 3 at the exhibition center, the festival hopes to bring together 25,000 spectators a day for its first edition, which will bring together Damso, IAM and Polo&Pan, among others.

Rap, with IAM, Damso, Chilla or Ziak, or electro, with Paul Kalkbrenner or Polo&Pan, will be on the menu for the first edition of the Rose festival, on September 2 and 3 in Toulouse. “Conceived” by Bigflo and Oli for “to please the people of our generation”Rose will not “not an exclusively rap festival”, Florian “Bigflo” Ordonez explained on Tuesday at a press conference in the Pink City. There will be “also electro, French song, variety”he added.

The rappers are aiming for between 15,000 and 25,000 spectators per day for this first edition of the festival which will also participate, in addition to Bigflo and Oli themselves, the rapper Laylow or the former singers of the group Zebda, Mouss and Hakim. Thanks to the two planned stages, the public will have the possibility of attending the concerts of the headliners and discovering “booming artists”.

On the other hand, in order to be “an inclusive festival accessible to all”Rose intends to welcome at least 1,000 people free of charge through partner associations involving “audiences remote from culture”, such as Secours Populaire. The festival will take place outdoors on the esplanade of the new Toulouse exhibition center. After a media silence of two years, without a concert, the Toulouse rappers are preparing to release a new album, which they reserve for the public of their concert in Bercy, on June 24.
