Using digital reading flat rates is convenient. For a basic monthly fee, the subscription includes hundreds of content that lands on your smartphone or tablet at the touch of a finger. Readly is one of the leading providers. The service most recently offered access to over 7,000 magazines and newspapers for 11.99 euros per month.

However, users face a hefty price increase. As can be seen on the Readly website, the reading flat rate now costs 14.99 euros, which is 3 euros more per month. Anyone who opts for the annual subscription now pays 179.88 euros instead of 143.88 euros.

Compared to iFun, the company justifies the price increase with increased costs for providing the service as well as constant improvements and new content.

Initially only for new customers

The price increase currently affects new customers. We are still shown a price of 11.99 euros for the current subscription. However, it is probably only a matter of time before the monthly fee increases for existing customers.

If you haven’t used the magazine and newspaper service yet, you can try it out cheaply for at least one month. Readly still offers the opportunity to test the reading flat rate for a one-off price of 99 cents for a month. However, you shouldn’t forget to cancel if you don’t like the offer. Otherwise, you will then have to pay 14.99 euros per month.
