Rebel Moon – part 2: The Slasher
Kora and her band of warriors are willing to sacrifice everything to fight alongside the people of Veldt. They are determined to courageously defend a once peaceful village, the new home of those who lost their loved ones in the fight against the Mother World.
On the eve of battle, the warriors confront the truth of their own past, each revealing the reasons for joining the cause. As the force of an entire kingdom descends on an emerging rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes are revealed, and legends are born.
IS A TRAILER AVAILABLE?
Yes, the trailer for the film was revealed as soon as the first part of Rebel Moon was put online. The video can be found above, but there is no doubt that new images will be revealed over the coming weeks.
WHEN WILL THE FILM BE RELEASED?
The film will be available on April 19. Remember that the first part – entitled Child of Fire – is now available and that viewing it is absolutely essential to ensure understanding of the story.

Like the first, the second part of Rebel Moon will be available exclusively on the Netflix platform.

WHO ACTS IN THE FILM ?
The cast present in part 1 will be back. Starting with the Franco-Algerian actress Sofia Boutella, who lends her features to Arthelaïs, a warrior formerly a member of the troops of the army of the Mother World, now at the head of a group of rebel soldiers.
At his side is Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), a farmer who compensates for his lack of experience with exceptional courage. Former general Titus, actively sought by the hordes of the Mother World for his treachery, is played by Djimon Hinsou, while the laser katana-loving heroine named Nemesis is played by Doona Bae.
Without forgetting the super warrior Tarak, to whom Staz Nair lends his features (and his muscular body), or the endearing robot Jimmy voiced in the original version by the legendary Anthony Hopkins.
Defeated at the end of the first film, but brought back to life by the tyrannical Balisarius (Fra Free), Admiral Atticus Noble – whose performance provided by Ed Skrein terrorized the film crew – will also return in the second part.

WHAT WE KNOW
Direct sequel, Rebel Moon – part 2 will see the group of rebels led by Arthelaïs face the counterattack of Admiral Noble on the Vedt moon. This new battle promises to be even more impressive than the confrontation which closed the first part of the film. New spectacular action scenes are therefore on the program!
While it is not impossible that new characters will be introduced in this part 2, we nevertheless imagine that the emphasis will be placed more on Arthelaïs’ past, and in particular on her ambiguous relationship with Balisarius and the reasons which pushed the warrior to betray her adoptive father.
It also seems likely that the story of the king played by Cary Elwes will occupy a place of greater importance in the plot of this sequel. We imagine that numerous revelations will also allow us to explore the universe of the franchise, but also the mythology of this intergalactic kingdom.

IS A SEQUEL PLANNED?
The two parts of Rebel Moon were shot as one film. No part 3 has yet been announced by Netflix, but the platform still has major projects around its franchise.
Parts 1 and 2 will be released in director’s cut versions. These new montages extended by one hour (for each part) will offer many new scenes, but also “sex and violence” according to director Zack Snyder.
Numerous franchise extension projects are under study. Among the potential spin-offs, a prequel series dedicated to Balisarius but also productions dedicated to each of the heroes of the film. However, the project to adapt the film into a video game was abandoned.
