Recall: Baked rolls with risk of injury! | BRIGITTE.de

Now of all times: While people are starting the big hamster purchases due to the corona pandemic, Aldi has now published a recall.

It is about bread rolls that have been sold in several branches. And anyone who has tried to shop at the weekend knows that the bread shelves were largely empty. It is now all the more important to check the pantry.

Recall from Aldi: Baked rolls with chips

Specifically, the following bread rolls are affected by the recall:

  • Baked rolls: "Gourmet – Finest Cuisine Panini Rustico"
  • Variety: nature
  • Best before date: 09.05.2020
  • Manufacturer: Panificio Italiano Veritas GmbH

The supplier "Panificio Italiano Veritas GmbH" has also informed Aldi of the reason for the recall: It cannot be ruled out that there are foreign bodies in the rolls. These are metal fragments, so you have to assume a specific risk of injury. Therefore, the baked bread rolls should clearly no longer be consumed!

According to Aldi, the products affected by the recall were sold exclusively in the Mittenwalde and Scharbeutz companies. You can check whether your own branch is included on the Aldi website.

Other products of the manufacturer, other rolls or shelf life should not be affected. The bread rolls have already been taken out of sale. However, if you already have them at home, you can bring them back to the branch and the purchase price will be refunded even without receipt.

People are currently prone to mass purchases. However, supply shortages are currently not expected. Coexistence should therefore still be in the foreground – if you want to build up a small stock in general, you can use our hamster purchases list.
