Caution, glass splinters found in Aldi product

Aldi has published a recall: There may be glass splinters in a dip at the discounter.
The discounter Aldi is currently pointing out the recall of one of its products. A “Feurich” brand dip may contain broken glass. The sauce should therefore not be consumed any more!
Many of us have them: the drawer or cabinet door behind which a multitude of snacks are hidden. During the pandemic in particular, we wanted to make ourselves really comfortable at home – and chocolate and chips were a must for a real cinema evening. However, if you are a Nacho fan, you should check your supplies now. Because the sauce is the popular salsa dip in the “cheese” variety.
Recall about broken glass
Specifically, the following batch of sauces sold at Aldi is affected:
- “Salsa Dip”
- Type: cheese
- Brand: FEURICH
- In a glass with a screw cap
- Supplier: NV Snack Food Poco Loco
- Best before date: 11/30/2022
“It cannot be ruled out that the cheese of the article ‘FEURICH Salsa Dip’ contains occasional glass splinters”, Aldi writes in the official announcement. How the splinters got into the product is unclear. However, the dip should never be consumed anymore.
Instead, customers who already have the salsa dip cheese in-house can easily bring the product back to an Aldi branch. There they should be reimbursed the purchase price even without presenting a receipt.
Since it is a product from “Aldi Nord”, it was only sold in certain parts of Germany. According to the announcement, these include: Bargteheide, Grammetal (Weimar), Greven, Großbeeren, Hann. Münden, Herten, Hesel, Jarmen, Lingen, Nortorf, Radevormwald, Rinteln, Salzgitter, Scharbeutz, Seefeld (Werneuchen), Seevetal, Schloß-Holte, Weyhe and Wittstock. The exact branch information should be visible on the Aldi website.
Other products should not be affected by the recall – the discounter has already taken all affected dips out of the market.
