Recall !: Listeria danger in popular cheese variety

The organic dairy Hatzenstädt informs about a recall of cheese. There is a suspicion that the cheese contains listeria – which pose an acute health hazard.

A cheese recall has been issued again. This time it comes from the Hatzenstädt dairy cooperative in Austria. However, the cheese was also sold in Germany.

If you have bought cold cuts in the last few days, you should check your refrigerator carefully: You are warned not to eat the cheese slices. They could contain listeria, which are rod-shaped bacteria that can cause so-called listeriosis. In the worst case, this can be fatal.
