The classic sour cherries from the glass are a popular ingredient for various desserts. But be careful: The cherries from Rewe’s own brand “Ja” could now contain broken glass.

The Hungarian company “Gloster Kft.” now calls back canned sour cherries from the Rewe Group’s own brand “Ja” jar. The reason: It cannot be ruled out “that there may be small, transparent glass splinters in individual glasses,” said the company. The recall was made purely as a precaution.
