IR’n’B-pop star Aya Nakamura and her ex-spouse Vladimir Boudnikoff were sentenced Thursday by the Bobigny criminal court to a fine of 10,000 and 5,000 euros for “reciprocal violence against a spouse” dating from August 2022.
The judge of the 12e correctional chamber went beyond the requisitions in its decision. During the trial, on January 26, the prosecutor had requested a fine of 5,000 euros for her, 2,000 for him. Neither the lawyers nor the defendants were present for the deliberations. The lawyers will consult with their clients to decide on a possible appeal.
Present at the trial, the ex-spouses returned to the stormy night of August 6 to 7, 2022 in Rosny-sous-Bois, near Paris, where they lived with their six-month-old daughter. At the origin of the crisis, jealousy and a wedding to which the singer was not invited, unlike her spouse. In these celebrations participated a former companion of the producer.

Dummy weapon and physical violence
The dispute unfolds in several acts. Screams erupt, objects fly and physical violence is committed in the music studio located in the basement. “He started getting more and more angry, hugging me, he was trying to calm me down in his own way,” the singer said. She admitted giving him a slap that unsettled Vladimir Boudnikoff and knocked him to the ground.
Vladimir Boudnikoff, for his part, recognized a lack of calm, especially when Aya Nakamura returned later in the evening to collect things, accompanied by two friends. Out of “fear” in the face of these men whom he does not particularly like, he points a dummy weapon at them. Since then, the couple has been separated, but has maintained a good relationship in the interest of his daughter.
Born in Bamako, Aya Nakamura grew up in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis). His career took off with his second album Nakamura (2018), followed byaya in 2020, giving her the status of the most listened to French-speaking singer in the world. The day after her trial, January 27, she released her latest opus, DKNtaken from the initials of her surname, Danioko.
34-year-old producer Vladimir Boudnikoff also directed the clip for one of Aya Nakamura’s hits, “Pookie”, which peaked at 338 million views on YouTube since its release in 2019.
