The fall of the two-wheeler after a refusal to comply on Friday evening in Chelles (Seine-et-Marne) is probably not the result of a collision with the police car, according to the first elements of the investigation communicated on Sunday by the prosecutor. According to the magistrate, investigators received on Sunday “the spontaneous testimony of two separate motorists”, who “certified that they had not observed any material contact between the BAC vehicle and the scooter”.
Around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, a BAC crew from Neuilly-sur-Marne (Seine-Saint-Denis) tried to control this two-wheeler which had just run a red light, according to information transmitted on Saturday evening by the Meaux public prosecutor’s office. Arriving in Chelles, two kilometers further, “the driver tries to brake, but in my opinion too late”, detailed the prosecutor at midday on Sunday, specifying that the scooter was traveling “at a very high speed” on “a very wet roadway.
