Quick history of the CEO
The Community Effort Orlando has come a long way since its first edition in 2011, to the point of becoming a must for the American scene, and a major event on the international scene. Created by Alex Jebailey, it is now one of the three major tournaments for the Fighting Games Community at Uncle Sam’s, with the Combo Breaker and of course the EVO. The pandemic still affected it, forcing it to take place online in 2020. The 2021 edition was able to take place offline, from December 3 to 5 of last year. Due to the health crisis, very few international players had managed to make the trip, but the organizers and the community hope that the next edition will see the world’s top players from each license compete again offline. The Americans also have a revenge to take, because despite the few foreign players, the latter have managed to impose themselves on several important games. like Mono (Puerto Rico) with Fang on Street Fighter V, Arslan Ash (Pakistan) on Tekken 7, Ren (Japan) on GranBlue Fantasy Versus, Scorpionprocs23 (Chile) on Mortal Kombat 11 and Llon_nu13 (South Korea) on Blazblue Crosstag Battle . We should also not forget the excellent performance of Glutonny on Ultimate, who finished second.
