With a new photo, Reiner Calmund causes fan sensation on Twitter. Some can hardly believe their eyes, but others are also worried about the former football official, who has now halved himself physically.
“Hopefully you are still healthy. The picture frightens me a lot,” writes a user under the new Twitter profile picture of Reiner Calmund, 72. In the new snapshot, the former football official can hardly be recognized. In the past two years or so, he has metamorphosed and halved himself physically. Some fans hardly believe their eyes, worry – and others pay their respects to the popular TV face.

Actually, Reiner Calmund, who is usually only affectionately called “Calli”, only wanted to update his profile picture on Twitter on Saturday evening, November 13th, 2021. The old recording probably no longer looked like him enough. The reason: his extreme weight reduction in the past few months, including stomach reduction and fat apron surgery. But the ex-Bundesliga manager himself would probably not have expected the wave of reactions from his 136,000 followers.
After just a few hours, his post received more than 20,000 likes and numerous comments. One fan sums up what many might think: “Man Reiner, almost didn’t recognize you anymore. To slim down an amazing achievement. “Another user needs” a while “to” get used to this sight “.
Some fans admire Calmund not only for his weight loss success and his stamina, but also worry about him and hope that he is “healthy”. Others find that the “Grill den Henssler” jury looks “healthier than ever”.

At the beginning of 2020, Reiner Calmund’s weight journey began with his stomach reduction. Significant loss of kilograms quickly became noticeable. In May of this year, he had a whopping 11.9 kilograms of excess skin removed. And what about the number on the scales now? This is probably what a number of fans and followers should have asked about the new Twitter photo.

In the current interview with the “Bild”, the native of Brühl shares his incredible change in kilograms – and thus directly eliminates the worries of his fans: “I once had 180 kilos on my hips, now it’s 90. So I’ve cut myself in half and feel me really great. ” He lives very healthy and is on the move a lot. In addition, his “values are top”, but he “still loves” delicious food, of course. So Calmund has not changed completely after all.
