At the end of March, a nurse, Melina, living near Montpellier, was evicted from her apartment by its owners during a coronavirus crisis.

Melina, a nurse anesthetist based in Montarnaud, near Montpellier in the Hérault region, was the victim of harassment during the health crisis. Her owners did not spare her at all and demanded that she leave their apartment: "You are going to free you and your coronavirus …" could she hear from them. The nurse decided to push the owner couple, one 76-year-old bank employee and the other 81-year-old retired sales representative. Despite the complaint filed following this, justice has not convicted the two owners.

Yet Melina says that it was her daily contact with the risks of the pandemic that pushed her former owners to evict her. for her "They feared the coronavirus". At the start of confinement, this nurse had stayed with, in addition to her companion, her mother, daughter and a dog. Melina, she moved to her daughter's studio because it was closer to the hospital where she works. The owners rely on a document stipulating the prohibition of animals to have them evicted.

Melina's lawyer mentioned threats and harassment from her former owners. But the courts consider that they do not have enough evidence to make a link between the complainant's profession and her deportation. Melina, in shock, spoke of her concern about this court decision: "This means that in the event of a reorganization, landlords can then harass tenants to make them part of it."

He survives the coronavirus, but has to pay a million dollars to the hospital!
