This summer, Gunfire Games And Gearbox Publishing launched Remnant 2Following Remnant: From the Ashes again taking the form of a Action RPG in the third person tinged with looter shooter. It quickly became a commercial and critical success, not surprising with its engaging gameplay and universe. If you wanted even more, you probably know that a three-pack DLC was included in the edition Ultimate. Well, the first extension was revealed for All Saints’ Day and is titled The Awakened King.
This The Awakened King DLC will be released on Tuesday November 14 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC at a price of €9.75 if you buy it separately. The pack with the two other extensions planned for 2024 will be marketed on the same date for €24.50. As his name indicates, he will oppose us to a king awakened from his sleep and corrupted by Root.
The one true king has awakened and is eager to shed blood. Corrupted by the Root in his sleep, the Mad King sees betrayal at every turn and is out for revenge. Since arriving at his castle in a coastal town in Dran, the tides have been angry and the weather has been chaotic, bringing up all manner of creatures from the depths and leaving many mysteries in their wake. In an all-new storyline, survivors must uncover the secrets of the one true king as they explore a mysterious new area of the world of Losomn. In this strange new place, survivors will traverse new dungeons, acquire powerful equipment, meet unexpected allies, and face new threats on their adventure to reach the One True King and defeat him once and for all.
In addition to a new scenario, a new class will be added, as well as new equipment and obviously a whole bunch of enemies and bosses to deal with.
- A new storyline, new dungeons and new areas in the world of Losomn – Delve into the lands of Losomn and discover an all-new storyline about the one true king, whose mind has been poisoned by the root and who seeks revenge on those who oppose him.
- New archetype: the Ritualist – Exploiting status effects to punish enemies, this new Archetype is a master of pain and suffering. More details on the Archetype will be revealed closer to the DLC launch.
- Many items and powerful weapons that enhance the gameplay – Equip your character to survive this deadlier version of the world of Losomn by choosing from a host of new weapons and modifications, as well as new items, such as amulets and rings.
- New bosses, characters and fearsome creatures to encounter – Mysterious threats and survivors, of unknown origin, emerge from the depths of the ocean and roam the streets, bringing new challenges to all players.
