On September 29, 2022, the Swedish royal family will receive party representatives, ambassadors and staff for a representative dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. In addition, the royals put on elegant thread and high-quality pieces of jewellery. Princess Victoria and Princess Sofia were able to impress with these looks.

For the second time this year, representatives of the Swedish royal family will gather in the Royal Palace to receive party representatives, ambassadors and employees for an exquisite four-course meal. While Queen Silvia, 78, is staying away from the evening event due to a cold, Crown Princess Victoria, 45, and Princess Sofia, 37, make a brilliant appearance in the truest sense of the word.

Princess Victoria does it like Catherine, Princess of Wales

Princess Victoria showed up that evening in a truly impressive gown, which, however, is not new to the heir to the throne. Designed by Jenny Packham, one of Catherine, Princess of Wales’ favorite designers. Victoria first wore it in 2015. The floor-length dress is made of close-fitting shimmering fabric, with a deep V-neckline and sheer sleeves. It becomes even more glamorous with glittering decorations and a belt made of glitter. A brooch is applied to the stomach.

As at the first representational dinner this year, the heir to the throne combines the “Laurel Wearh” tiara with her dress. The piece of jewelery has a very special meaning for Victoria. It belonged to her favorite aunt, Princess Lillian.

Princess Sofia inspires with an extravagant design

Princess Sofia also recycles a dress for the representation dinner. In 2018 for the gala dinner for the Italian President Sergio Matarella, the wife of Prince Carl Philip had already worn the two-piece design by Zetterberg Couture in pale pink, for the recent event only the top seems to have been restyled a little.

The top made of silk originally had a boat neckline, the neckline is more closed at the representation dinner, small pads seem to have been used on the shoulders. The A-line skirt is made entirely of lace. As in 2018, Sofia combines the “Palmette” tiara with her look. A wedding present from Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustav. The open hairstyle makes Sofia’s look relaxed and less formal than that of her sister-in-law, Princess Victoria.

A special accessory adds even more glamor to her outfit: the silver clutch by Bottega Veneta is new in the princess’s wardrobe and is an absolute trend piece. Sofia gives her style a modern twist.
