A$AP Rocky insults Drake in diss track “Show of Hands”

Does Drake still have feelings for ex-girlfriend Rihanna? At least that’s what her current partner A$AP Rocky alludes to in a new diss track.
There is a new diss track in rap heaven – and its subject is apparently none other than pop star Rihanna (36). In the song “Show of Hands”, her current partner A$AP Rocky (35) insults her ex-partner Drake (37), with whom Rihanna had an on-off relationship for around ten years.
Does Drake still have feelings for Rihanna?
“Show of Hands” is one of the songs on Future (40) and Metro Boomin’s (30) new studio album, “We Still Don’t Trust You”, which was released on April 12th. A$AP Rocky can be heard as a “featuring artist” on the song.
In the lyrics he apparently makes fun of the fact that Drake still has feelings for Rihanna, and also attacks his last album “For All the Dogs” – probably a reckoning with Drake, who appeared in this album on the track “Another Late Night ” alluded to A$AP Rocky.
In the same album, Drake apparently references Rihanna in the song “Fear of Heights,” dismissing those in the lyrics who “make it seem like I’m still stuck with you.”
Rihanna and Drake are now both parents
Rihanna was in a relationship with Drake from around 2009. In 2016, he made a public declaration of his love for her on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards: “I’ve been in love with her since I was 22. She’s one of my best friends in the whole world. She’s a living legend in our industry,” Drake said at the time. The couple separated about two months later. In 2018, the singer explained in an interview with US “Vogue” that she was no longer close to the rapper: “We’re no longer friends, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”
That same year, Drake spoke about his desire to have children with Rihanna in an interview with LeBron James (39): “As life takes shape and teaches you its own lessons, I’ve found myself in a situation where I don’t have that “Drake started a family with Rihanna and it’s so perfect,” he said. “It looks so good on paper. By the way, I wanted to do that too.”
However, things turned out differently: After a three-year relationship with the Saudi entrepreneur Hassan Jameel, Rihanna began her relationship with A$AP Rocky around November 2020. He confirmed in May 2021 that the two are a couple. In 2022 they became parents of a son for the first time, followed by another son in August 2023.
Drake became the father of a son in October 2011, whose mother is the French Sophie Brussaux. But the two are not a couple.
