  • The ZSC Lions don’t give Ajoie a chance at 8-2.

  • Lugano turns a 1: 3 into a 6: 4 against Davos.

Lakers – Lausanne 7-0

3 games, 9 points: Rapperswil-Jonas record against Lausanne reads perfectly even after the third direct duel this season. Captain Andrew Rowe brought the hosts onto the winning road in the 8th minute. The Lakers experienced their best phase in the middle section, when they literally played the Vaudois against the wall. The Rosenstädter shot only 7 times at Luca Boltshauser’s case, but sometimes the guests ran tired in their own zone.

David Aebischer took advantage of one of these pressure phases to increase to 2-0 with a slapshot in the 27th minute. Yannick-Lennart Albrecht made it 3-0 after the middle of the game for the preliminary decision. Lausanne also had nothing to counteract in the third third apart from an unpleasant fight by Cody Almond (with Nando Eggenberger). On the contrary: Sandro Forrer, Zack Mitchell (2) and Yannick Brüschweiler made the runaway victory perfect.

ZSC Lions – Ajoie 8: 2

The Nati break seems to have been good for the Lions. A little more than 24 hours later, the Zurich team followed up on the convincing 5: 1 success on Sunday in Davos with an 8: 2 against Ajoie. For their part, the Jurassians recorded their 10th defeat in a row. The ZSC never left any doubts about the outcome of the game. After just 11 minutes, goals from Maxim Noreau, Patrick Geering and Denis Malgin were 3-0 in favor of the favorite. After all, Philip-Michael Devos brought Ajoie to 1: 3 shortly before the first siren.

Early in the middle third, however, the troubles of the taillight began again. Marcus Krüger, Kyen Sopa and Justin Azevedo increased to 6: 1 within 4 minutes. Shortly after the middle of the game, Sven Andrighetto was also allowed to join the scorers. Reto Schmutz again scored the honorary goal from Jura in the 38th minute. The final point of a one-sided duel was Marco Pedretti with the 8: 2 in the 41st minute. On the part of the ZSC, both Andrighetto and Malgin were able to get 4 scorer points (1 goal and 3 assists each).

Freiburg – SCL Tigers 5: 1

Gottéron picked up where it left off after the national team break. Against Langnau, the leader safely achieved his 5th victory de suite. The fans in the Freiburg Arena had to wait until the 18th minute before they could cheer for the first time. Julien Sprunger, who reported back after an injury break, defeated Tigers goalie Robert Mayer on the near post. In the second period, the home team pulled away to 3-0 with hits from Killian Mottet (22nd) and Ryan Gunderson (36th).

At the latest after the 4-0 by Nathan Marchon in the 46th minute, the mass was read. Sebastian Schilt scored the consolation goal (49th), but again a Saanestädter was responsible for the final point. Marchon made a nice combination to make it 5-1 with 109 seconds to go.
