At least for him the secrecy is finally over. Actor Heinz Hoenig will move into the jungle camp.

Film star Heinz Hoenig (72) is the first celebrity which the broadcaster RTL has officially confirmed for the jungle camp in 2024. “There is already a lot of speculation as to who will move into the jungle camp in 2024. We are already telling you the first candidate exclusively: actor Heinz Hoenig is daring to embark on the exciting adventure in Australia,” can be read on the social media channels.

On his participation in the 17th season “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” In January, Hoenig said: “I’ve never done anything like jungle camp before. It’s a challenge, I’m keen on it. And that’s why I’m going there! Period.”

Joining in the excitement at home include his wife Annika Kärsten-Hoenig, who is 34 years his junior, and their one-year-old son Jianni. “I said: Honey, now or never! If he wants to do it, then the whole family is behind him,” confirms his wife Kärsten-Hoenig.

Hoenig became known for films and multi-part series such as “Das Boot” (1981), “Der Schattenmann” (1996) and “Der König von St. Pauli” (1998).

Celebrity speculation

Already reported in November the Cologne “Express” first stars and starlets to move in. Influencer Twenty4Tim (23) should be at the top of the list of other participants. Reality star Emmy Russ (24) is also a potential candidate.

RTL is also said to have an eye on a former “Bachelor” participant and a “Bachelorette” candidate with a view to next year’s jungle camp: Franziska Temme (28) and Rafi Rachek (33).
