RTX 3090 Ti: Nvidia postpones the release of the graphics card due to production problems

We’ll have to wait before we can get our hands on the RTX 3090 Ti. The most powerful graphics card ever made by Nvidia is just struggling to be produced. The manufacturer would indeed have problems at the level of the BIOS and the components. We don’t know when it will be available.

At CES 2022, Nvidia lifted the veil on the RTX 3090 Ti, its most powerful graphics card to date. Its technical sheet is indeed enough to make more than one salivate: 10,752 CUDA cores, 24 GB of GDDR6X VRAM at 21 Gb / s, bandwidth estimated at 1008 GB / s, in short, the GPU is a real power monster. Initially, the RTX 3090 Ti was to be available in January.

This week, Nvidia even placed an embargo on the graphics card, thus confirming half-word the rumors announcing a release for January 27. Unfortunately, it seems that the manufacturer is facing a small setback. Indeed, according to information from TweatTown, supplemented by our colleagues from VideoCardz, the production of the RTX 3090 Ti seems to pose many problems.

You’ll have to wait to buy the RTX 3090 Ti

Thus, Nvidia would encounter problems with “the BIOS and the components” of the RTX 3090 Ti. We don’t know any more at this time. It is therefore difficult to assess the seriousness of the situation. For example, it is not impossible for existing cards to have a manufacturing defect rendering them unusable. One thing is sure, the January 27 outing will not take place. Nvidia has already canceled its embargo and is content to remain silent on the subject.

The most impatient will therefore be disappointed. Faced with the lack of communication from Nvidia, we can imagine that the launch will be delayed by weeks or even months. Those who were planning to buy it in the next few days can take comfort in taking a closer look at the prices. Even before its launch, the RTX 3090 Ti already costs more than €3000. We can wait a little longer.
