The finalists for EPCR Player of the Year are known. Two French are among the retained: the scrum half of Stade Toulousain Antoine Dupont and the third line of La Rochelle Grégory Alldritt. The winner will be known after the Champions Cup Leinster-La Rochelle final on May 20.

La Rochelle third line Grégory Alldritt and Toulouse scrum-half Antoine Dupont are among the nominees for the title of EPCR player of the year, announced Wednesday the organizing body of the Champions Cup . The captain of La Rochelle, author of a great performance last weekend in the semi-final against the English of Exeter (47-28), is present in the shortlist for the third consecutive year.

Public and expert votes

Rewarded in 2021, the year of the fifth continental coronation of Stade Toulouse, Dupont is also part of it despite the elimination of his team in the last four on Saturday at Leinster (41-22). Three players from the Irish province, impressive since the start of the competition, have been named: third lines Caelan Doris and Josh van der Flier, winner in 2022, and center Garry Ringrose.

The EPCR player of the year 2023 will be chosen after the final between Leinster and La Rochelle, on Saturday May 20 in Dublin, through a process combining online public voting and a jury of experts.
