Last September, the juggernaut Grand Theft Auto V celebrated its tenth anniversary, which was released on September 17, 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, before being ported to PS4 and Xbox One in 2014, then to PC in 2015, before finally being released on PS5 and Xbox Series |S in March 2022. If Rockstar Games hasn’t released a new episode since, this is obviously due to the longevity of GTA Online ensuring him regular income, but players are only waiting for one thing, the arrival of GTA 6 ! During its tax assessment last May, the publisher Take Two promised a 2025 financial year (from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025) where it would launch “several revolutionary titles”, foreshadowing heavy things and giving hope to the community. Even if Rockstar never made the title of the game official following the leaks massive events that occurred at the end of last year, he never hid the fact that he was developing a new episode. Well, the announcement that risks shaking the Web could take place… as early as this week!

If we take it with a grain of salt by using the conditional and considering this as a rumor, there is little room for doubt, because the information comes from Jason Schreier who offered himself a nice scoop via an article on Bloomberg. It is this Wednesday that Take-Two Interactive must present its quarterly results and the publisher could therefore hit very hard with an announcement before or in the wake of the most anticipated game of all time. According to the journalist’s sources, it is therefore this week at the earliest that Grand Theft Auto VI will finally be revealed for good. On the other hand, we probably shouldn’t expect a trailer if this is the case, since the studio would have planned to publish a trailer in December to celebrate 25 years of its creation which took place in 1998. After all, Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced via a simple visual in October 2016 before its first video was posted online two days later.
As a reminder, this GTA VI should offer us a new trip to the city of Vice City inspired by Miami with a duo of protagonists, a man (Jason) and a woman (Lucia), at least if nothing has been changed in the meantime.
