Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively: They donate to several hospitals in New York

Ryan Reynolds (43, "Deadpool") and his wife Blake Lively (32, "Gossip Girl") not only have a big heart, but also a tight wallet. Once again, the couple shows that they are ready to help out in emergency situations. Lively and Reynolds are said to have donated $ 400,000 to four hospitals in New York. The US celebrity portal "TMZ" reports.

To support the clinics in the fight against the coronavirus, the two would have donated $ 100,000 each to NYU Hospital, Mount Sinai, Elmhurst and Northern Westchester. In the metropolis and the state of New York, more than 66,000 people are currently infected with the virus. More than 1,200 people affected have already died there.

The situation is devastating

Most recently, Andrew Cuomo, 62, the incumbent governor of New York, among others, asked for help from all healthcare workers in the United States. "If the situation in your community is not serious, please come to New York," he explained on Twitter. "We need relief for nurses. We need relief for doctors. (…) We will return the favor in their hour of need."

Reynolds and Lively had previously donated. "I think we can all agree that Covid-19 is an asshole," the actor wrote on Twitter on March 17. He also said, "Blake and I are donating a million dollars to be shared between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada." Reynolds was born in Vancouver, Canada, Lively comes from California.
