S! Sters: That is why the ESC duo will now go their separate ways

Last year's "Eurovision Song Contest" was certainly a bitter disappointment for the singer duo S! Sters. With their song "Sister" they landed on the penultimate place with 25 points corrected downwards. But Laura Kästel (27) and Carlotta Truman (20) actually wanted to move on together, continue to write music together, and make a career together. But now the duo has split up, as they revealed in the interview with the "Bild" newspaper.

"From now on, Carlotta and I want to tackle their own musical project. We are still at the beginning of our careers and both of us still don't quite know where we want to go musically stylistically. That is why we both need space to develop as an artist" , said Kästel on the reasons for the end. And Truman adds: "We have noticed each other that self-determined finding is what we need now." One is nevertheless thankful for the time together.

Get the best out of it

Gratitude is also the feeling with which the two musicians look back on their time at the ESC. "Somehow it's totally surreal for me that we were really there," said Truman. Both are sure that with what they have been given they have got the best out of it. "I'm proud of us!" Continues the 20-year-old. But start again at an ESC? Rather not, but "you should never say 'never'", Kästel at least leaves the door open for a comeback.

And even if one would go musically separate now, as "siblings" the two would still see each other: "We maintain contact, I was only recently at one of Carlotta's appearances. And I was very proud of her. After all, I have you can never see them from the audience’s perspective, "reveals Kästel.
