S2 Del Mar: opening of reservations in Europe for LiveWire’s electric motorcycle soon

Smaller, lighter and above all more affordable, the S2 Del Mar is a street tracker 100% electric from LiveWire, the subsidiary of Harley-Davidson. Firmly awaited by motorcyclists wishing to trade their American V-twin for a more virtuous and economical engine, the arrival of the S2 Del Mar is becoming clearer with a price and the opening of reservations in Europe.

A brand new launch edition

When opening reservations across the Atlantic, LiveWire had lifted the veil on an S2 Del Mar Launch Edition. The success was there, since the 100 limited copies were all sold out in less than 20 minutes, despite the fairly high entry ticket of $17,699, for delivery scheduled for July 2023 for American customers.

For its arrival on the Old Continent, LiveWire reiterates its launch edition, still limited to 100 copies. The opening of reservations is officially set for April 27, 2023 from 4 p.m. To acquire this LiveWire S2 Del Mar Launch Edition, you will have to prepare the sum of €20,190 including tax and pay a first payment of €100.

Compared to the launch edition, the basic version should logically be more affordable. We can thus count on a price of around 18,000 €, a pretty penny but in the average of high-end electric motorcycles.

The technical sheet should reveal all its secrets next June, but we already know that the electric motor has a power of around 80 horsepower (60 kW) and should offer a range of 160 km, which is not so bad for an electric motorcycle capable of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. No information, however, regarding the speed of charging, the Achilles heel of battery-powered motorcycles.
