Safran: memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian Air Force

(CercleFinance.com) – Safran Aircraft Engines and the Egyptian Air Force announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding relating to the deployment of Safran Aircraft Engines’ new service offering, EngineLife, within the Egyptian Air Force.

This agreement will cover maintenance activities in operational conditions (MCO) of the M88 engines equipping the current fleet of 24 Rafales operated by Egypt on the basis of an availability commitment in flight hours.

Intended for the armed forces operating the M88 engine equipping the Dassault Aviation Rafale, EngineLife aims to maximize engine availability and reduce the cost of ownership for the customer by deploying a range of tailor-made services.

‘Following the successful entry into service of the M88 in the Egyptian fleet, we are today strengthening our support system in order to guarantee our client the best engine availability in its daily operations,’ declared Christophe Bruneau, Director of the Military Engines Division of Safran Aircraft Engines.
