SAG Awards: Award ceremony in 2021 for Corona in March

Due to the corona pandemic, the prices of the American drama union take place two months later than originally planned.

The annual award of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) film trade union is postponed due to the ongoing corona pandemic, the organization said on its website. The SAG Awards were originally supposed to take place in Los Angeles at the end of January. Instead, the 27th edition of the award ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 14th.

Anyone wishing to work as an actor in the United States must be a member of the union; all members are eligible to vote for the awards. The fact that the award ceremony has been postponed extends the window for productions that can win an award at the awards. All productions that had their first broadcast between January 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021 can be selected.

The big winners at the last SAG Awards were "Parasite", Joaquin Phoenix for his role in "Joker" and Renée Zellweger for "Judy".
