Un of the two demonstrators seriously injured on Saturday during the prohibited demonstration against mega-basins in Sainte-Soline (Deux-Sèvres) came out of a coma, a spokesperson for the Les Uprisings of the Earth movement in Paris announced on Thursday. “There is still one person between life and death, Serge. We are here to hope that he recovers after days in a coma, ”said this spokesperson for the Les Uprisings of the Earth movement, Benoît Feuillu, alongside political representatives (EELV, PCF, NPA) and environmental associations.

Rallies were thus convened in front of the prefectures throughout the country, “against repression in Sainte-Soline” and “police violence” in the demonstrations against the pension reform.

Darmanin wants to dissolve the movement

Defender of Rights Claire Hédon took up the case of the two demonstrators seriously injured on Saturday during the violent clashes in Sainte-Soline (Deux-Sèvres), the independent institution announced to Agence France-Presse on Thursday. . The institution explains that it was seized “in view of the seriousness of the injuries caused, possibly by weapons of intermediate strength, in a context of demonstrations”.

“We’re not going to stop […], we will not allow ourselves to be dissolved! said the spokesman, two days after Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin initiated proceedings to dissolve the Earth Uprisings, which he holds responsible for the clashes on Saturday in Sainte-Soline.
