The G3 is the only OLED TV from LG to use the new OLED panel equipped with billions of microlenses to dramatically increase peak brightness. This panel also improves viewing angles and the treatment of reflections. Is that enough to make it the best Oled TV on the market?
The LG 55G3 — the 55-inch (140cm) version of the LG 65G3 we tested — is quite simply the best TV tested so far in our lab. It combines all the advantages of OLED technology (contrast, precision, responsiveness, viewing angles) with the high luminosity of a Mini-Led model. Even the anti-reflective filter is even more efficient. If you look closely, you will find minor flaws, such as a colorimetric coverage set back compared to QD-Oled televisions, a foot sold as an option or even a fairly classic remote control. Still, this TV is currently the best for all uses (movies, series, video games, TV and sport).

The LG 55C2 — 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65C2 we tested — remains one of the benchmarks on the television market, offering a perfectly calibrated image and a very high quality HDR experience. LG even offers itself the luxury of reducing the consumption of its Oled TV and improving the responsiveness of the system while increasing the functionalities. On the video processing side, LG no longer has much to prove, both in terms of upscaling and motion compensation. If we add to this an undisguised ease in video games, the LG 55C2 television is a model of versatility that is suitable for everyone: from movie buffs to video game enthusiasts through sports or documentary enthusiasts. It’s hard to be disappointed with the LG C2.
