Sam on TF1: new characters, departures… the first info on season 7 with Hélène de Fougerolles

TF1 has just announced the start of filming for season 7 of “Sam”, which will be marked by many changes. Natacha Lindinger indeed announced her departure from the series a few months ago.

In January 2022, TF1 broadcast the new season 6 of Sam, one of its flagship series. And if, a year later, fans expected to find their favorite teacher on their screens for new episodes, they will have to take their troubles patiently.

The channel has just announced that the filming of this season 7 had started this Monday, February 20. And this new burst of episodes is placed under the sign of change.

Sam changes face (again)

For the second time since the launch of the series in 2016, Sam will change face. After being embodied by Mathilde Seigner in season 1 then Natacha Lindinger, it is now Hélène de Fougerolles (Balthazar) who will have the difficult task of slipping into the skin of this cash and crazy literature teacher.

It was last November that the actress who played the character of Sam for 5 years announced her decision to leave the series. “It’s time for me to renew myself a little, to take risks again and to give myself time to be available for other projects.“, she had confided to our colleagues from Puremedia.

Another change, Barbara Cabrita will not be back in season 7. The actress, who played the character of Félicia, the maths teacher in season 6, had indeed announced during an interview with Entertainment TV that she would not reprise her role in future seasons.

An announcement that is all the more surprising since Félicia had been appointed school principal in the season 6 finale. It is this departure that will push Sam to stay at Saint-Paul Le Truchon. According to the official synopsis, she is back in the village, only two months after her departure, and when she had sworn never to set foot there again.

But she does not intend to drag on, she just has a small problem to solve. Except that she discovers that it is general chaos: the Valadier school is deprived of a director and a teacher is missing.

Between guilt and envy, Sam will stay and vigorously defend the school, threatened with closure since Anne-Marie sold it to her nephew, a wealthy and arrogant young entrepreneur.

As he approaches fifty, Sam, who is facing both physical and psychological upheavals, will have a hard time resisting the young man’s sex appeal. But what will then become of her relationship with Laurent, the handsome mayor of the village?

A new suitor and returns

It is Amaury de Crayencour, an actor seen in César Wagner and Cassandre, who will play Maxime, Anne-Marie’s nephew and Sam’s new suitor. Catherine Demaiffe (The Code) will also join the cast in the skin of Natalie.

Kevin Dias, who plays Alex, the son of Sam, will also make his big comeback in the series after being unfaithful to TF1 by joining the cast of seasons 2 and 3 of Emily in Paris.

Fred Testot (Xavier), Chantal Ladesou (Anne-Marie), Thierry Neuvic (Laurent), Charlotte Gaccio (Aurélie), Fanny Gilles (Véronique) and Noom Diawara (Damien) will also be present in this new burst of episodes.

Written by Camille Pouzol, Alexandra London, Stéphan Guérin-Tillié and Gilles Verdiani, these six new 52-minute episodes will be directed by Hippolyte Dard, who has notably worked on Clem, L’Art du crime and L’île prisonnière. Season 7 should not arrive before the fall on TF1.
