Samsung customers on the barricades: anger about alleged bait offers in the store


These words must make Samsung think: Angry customers are attacking the online shop online. There is talk of bait offers and cancellations. The reason for the complaints is, among other things, a sales campaign from the recent past.

Update April 13, 2022: In the meantime, my ordered Galaxy A52s has also been canceled – even though I was assured by a Samsung support employee that the device would be shipped in a few days (see below). In an email, Samsung speaks of a “price error” and apologizes.

Small mistake, big effect? Samsung recently offered the Galaxy A52s for only 239 euros – a real top price that GIGA also referred to. Meanwhile, Samsung would like to have 329 euros for the mid-range smartphone. So was it an unfortunate transposed digit? At least they leave it at that many negative comments that can currently be found on portals such as Trustpilot or myDealz.

There are numerous users complaining that Samsung canceled their order for the Galaxy A52s. “Trigger offer and then the goods are simply canceled,” headlines an angry customer (source: Trustpilot). He only gives Samsung 1 out of 5 possible stars on Trustpilot. Apparently he is not alone in this, because there has been talk of cancellations, especially in the recent past.

“Got a good offer for the A52s 5G, but the purchase was canceled after two days because of an alleged price error,” complains another customer, who captioned his post “Stornoparty”. He only gets 1 out of 5 stars.

The mass of downvotes meant that Samsung received the grade “insufficient” on Trustpilot and was only rated 1.3 out of 5 possible stars.

The picture at myDealz is similar. There are also angry comments on the bargain platform reporting Samsung’s cancellation of the Galaxy A52s. There is a call to rate Samsung negatively on Trustpilot (source: myDealz).

Many customers report cancellations, but others do not. They write that after consulting Samsung’s customer support, they were assured that the Galaxy A52s would be on its way soon.
