Power and photos at the service of a beautiful screen
Like many others, Samsung articulates the strengths of its Galaxy S21 FE around three axes: the camera, the power, and the screen. Let’s detail all this beautiful world backwards.
Very slightly more compact than the Galaxy S20 FE, this new model is equipped with a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen (dimensions 74.5 x 155.7 x 7.9 mm). It displays an FHD + definition at a maximum frequency of 120 Hz, and has a fingerprint sensor. Its central punch reveals a 32 megapixel camera (f / 2.2).
Under the hood, the Galaxy S21 FE can count on the Snapdragon 888. An SoC well known to our services, since it was found in almost all high-end Android smartphones from 2021. 6 to 8 GB of RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage complete the performance component. The smartphone’s battery will have a capacity of 4,500 mAh, and can be recharged at 25 W wired, or 15 W wireless. However, it should be remembered that Samsung no longer provides the charger for its smartphones in the boxes.
Well-known photo sensors
Samsung does not ambition to reinvent the powder with its S21 FE. After all, it’s still a mid-range smartphone. It is therefore natural that it will offer the same three photo sensors as last year.
As a reminder, this is a 12-megapixel wide-angle (1 / 1.76 “; f / 1.8; 1.8 µm), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (1 / 3.0”; f / 2.2; 1.12 µm) and a 3x 8 megapixel telephoto lens (1 / 4.5 “; f / 2.4; 1 µm). Of course, the rendering of the photos has been improved compared to last year thanks to numerous updates and thanks to the more powerful processor which finds its place in the Galaxy S21 FE.
Finally, the Galaxy S21 FE will be available in four colors: olive, graphite, white and lavender. The price of this new model, which is due out in January (according to the rumor), will remain to be known. As a reminder, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G was marketed from € 759.
