We know more about the screens of the future Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and S22 Ultra.

We might have to wait a bit longer for the Samsung Galaxy S22s, but in the meantime we’re learning more and more about the brand’s future flagships. The latest revelation comes from the specialized site SamMobile which was able to discover information on the future Amoled screens of the Galaxy S22.
Record brightness, but what for?
The site tells us that if the slab of the Galaxy GS22 should not offer many upgrades, those of the S22 + and S22 Ultra should experience a new record brightness. We would thus go from 1000 to 1200 nits for “standard” brightness and to 1750 nits for peak brightness. As a reminder, the Galaxy S21 + offered a peak of 1300 nits and 1500 nits for the Galaxy S21 Ultra. If we are to believe the site, it is therefore the Galaxy S22 + which would be the big winner in the case. Peak brightness refers to the maximum level reached with “auto brightness” mode enabled.
What will such extreme luminosity be used for? First, to be able to read the screen even in direct sunlight. The increase in brightness on our smartphones has so far made it possible to improve this distressing situation over the generations. With this leap forward, we hope that we will definitely put the reflections and the reading difficulties behind us.
The other interesting element enabled by an increase in brightness is the playback of HDR content. This technology varies the levels of brightness and contrast to enhance the colors on the screen and the wider the range of brightness offered, the better the result should be. There is no doubt that this will also be an axis of communication for Samsung.
