Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra: update on their prices and release dates

We have detailed them during our handling. The Samsung Galaxy S22, the latest flagships of the South Korean, are now official and display their high-end characteristics. This is particularly the case with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the best equipped in the series, which stands out as the spiritual son of the Galaxy Note, thanks to the integration of an S Pen stylus now included in its case.

You already know its features: the Galaxy S22 Ultra benefits from a large 6.8-inch Dynamic Amoled screen (1 to 120 Hz), QHD + and hiding an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. It is equipped with the Exynos 2200 chip, 8 to 12 GB of RAM, storage from 128 to 1 TB and a 5000 mAh battery now compatible with fast charging at 45 W – for who acquires a block compatible sector. On the photo side, a quadruple module comparable to that of the excellent Galaxy S21 Ultra breaks down into a 108 megapixel sensor (wide-angle f / 1.8), another 12 megapixel (ultra wide-angle, f / 2, 2) and two of 10 megapixels each (3x magnification, f/2.4 and 10x, f/4.9).

What price ? While the Galaxy S21 Ultra was released from €1259 (€1439 for its most expensive version), the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available from February 25 at a price of €1259 in 128 GB, €1359 in 256 GB and €1,459 in 512 GB. It will be available in green, pink, burgundy and white.

A two-step launch

The Galaxy S22 and S22+ are almost similar. Their difference lies in their format, of course, in the capacity of their battery and their charging speed. The S22 thus has a 6.1-inch AMOLED screen (Full HD +, 120 Hz) and a 3700 mAh battery compatible with 25 W charging, while the S22 + sports a 6.6-inch panel and bets on a 4500 mAh battery compatible with 45 W charging. For the rest, they share their Exynos 2200 chip, their 8 GB of RAM, their 128 or 256 GB of storage and their triple dorsal photo module (50 megapixels for the main sensor, 12 megapixels for the ultra wide-angle and 10 megapixels for the module with 3x zoom).

As expected, these two smartphones will be released later than their brother Ultra. The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will be on sale from March 11 from €859 for the first (128 GB) and €1,059 for the second (also 128 GB). Recall that last year the Galaxy S21 debuted from €859. In terms of colors, you will have the choice between pink, white, black and green. For the 256 GB versions of the two smartphones, count 909 € (Galaxy S22) and 1109 € (Galaxy S22+).
