Tech giant Samsung has a habit of releasing many new devices every year. But the year 2024 should be particularly busy if this new leak is to be believed.

It’s difficult to be more of a behemoth than Samsung, the South Korean giant present in many tech sectors. The company produces a little bit of everything, which means that there seems to be something new from Samsung in the news every time. However, the current year should be particularly crazy for the leader in the smartphone sector, given the rather exceptional quantity of products that it intends to deliver during the year 2024, and at the beginning of 2025.

The expected devices…

Samsung will not be laughing in 2024. If we are to believe this leak from leaker PandaFlash, including Wccftech echoes, the Seoul-based firm has decided to go all out and flood the market with its devices during the current financial year. First there will be all those that come out every year, and which will surprise no one:

  • The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable smartphones;
  • Galaxy Buds 3 headphones;
  • Galaxy Watch 7 connected watches;
  • Galaxy Tab S10 tablets;
  • The Galaxy Book 4 Edge ultraportables;
  • And finally, normally, at the beginning of next year, the Galaxy S25 smartphones.

…and what’s new

But if that’s already a lot, you should also know that many new new features are scheduled to be released in the coming months. We can thus note that foldable smartphones will be entitled for the first time to a premium Galaxy Z Fold Ultra version, when the famous Galaxy Ring connected ring and the Galaxy XR mixed reality headset will appear in 2024.

Finally, the last salient point, the FE brand resurrected by Samsung will become a range in its own right, far from being confined to smartphones. During this year, we should see the following arrive in the world:

  • The Galaxy S24 FE smartphone;
  • Two foldable smartphones Galaxy Flip FE and Galaxy Fold FE;
  • The Galaxy Watch FE;
  • The Galaxy Tab FE tablet;
  • And finally a second generation of Galaxy Buds FE 2 headphones.

Samsung Galaxy S24

  • Excellent screen
  • Overall performance
  • Galaxy AI + OneUI 6.1

The most compact of Samsung’s premium smartphones, the Galaxy S24 is an attractive smartphone in many aspects. We appreciate the quality of its screen and its overall performance which does not suffer from the return to Exynos SoCs. Apart from this change, the S24 does not really evolve at the hardware level, particularly in terms of photography. It might be time for the manufacturer to evolve its imaging platform which has been stagnant since S22.

Without being catastrophic, the autonomy of the S24 is not extraordinary. It is even behind that of the S23, although equipped with a less powerful battery. Main culprit, the return to the Exynos architecture, abandoned last year on the S23, and which has never really stood out for its energy sobriety.

Fortunately, the software part is evolving… and not just a little. If OneU+I 6.1 remains as intuitive as ever, we especially note the appearance of Galaxy AI, the artificial intelligence concocted by Samsung. If it is not yet perfect, it has the merit of opening the way to new uses. Other good news is that the supply of major versions of the OS and security patches is now guaranteed for seven years. We can only congratulate Samsung, which did not take the opportunity to increase its prices (already high, it is true).
