While you’re going to be able to drop your brand new Galaxy S23 from a lot higher than in the past, it could well be that you drop the idea of opting for the 128 GB model (you saw, we know how to do last the suspense, huh).
Galaxy S23: D-2 before the big reveal
On February 1, the Galaxy Unpacked will be officially held, an event organized each year by Samsung. On this occasion, the manufacturer will lift the veil on the future devices that will make the year 2023 in terms of new technologies. If we can therefore hope to discover the next Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, it is mainly the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra that will be the stars of this conference.
The website Engadget recently published a new article about Samsung’s next flagship. This time, no video leak for the Ultra version of the Galaxy S23, but rather important information concerning the model with 128 GB of storage.
128 GB Galaxy S23 slower than other models?
Although this has not yet been formalized by the Korean at the time of writing these lines, the original source, which is none other than the reputable IceUniverse, seems relatively categorical regarding the veracity of this information. According to him, the 128 GB model will have a UFS 3.1 chip and not a UFS 4.0 chip.
In good French, this means that the Galaxy S23 with a storage space of 128 GB will logically be slower than the other iterations of the range. So, if you want a device with a chip about twice as fast (and also much more economical), then you will have to look at the 256 GB model. The reason for this being that Samsung simply does not produce 128 GB UFS 4.0 chip. You have been warned…
