The Lyon-based start-up ProovStation offers several stations in France, which allow you to sell your car in a few minutes and get paid the next day, eliminating many constraints for the seller.

Selling your car on the second-hand market can sometimes be an obstacle course, with certain frustrations related to time, cost, the professional who is dealing with us, among other things. The machine developed by Proovstation is revolutionizing the genre, leaving all its place to technology. And the advantages are rather convincing: colossal time savings, very fast payment and disconcerting simplicity.

A scanner equipped with 10 cameras diagnoses your vehicle

The principle of ProovStation, this start-up based in Vénissieux, is to pass your car through a machine that looks like a car wash, but which will, in reality, scan your vehicle, then make you a purchase offer. How exactly does it work?

If you wish to sell (or at least receive a proposal) your car, you can choose to do so by going to one of the five ProovStation stations, without an appointment. The adventure begins by interacting with an interactive terminal, where you will give your surname, first name, telephone number as well as the mileage of your car to an operator, responsible for creating your file, intended to lead to a proposal. The operation can be set in one minute.

Second step: going through the scanner, which takes just 5 seconds and allows ProovStation to carry out a complete diagnosis of your vehicle, thanks to artificial intelligence and 10 high-definition cameras. But, it is ultimately the human eye that helps in decision making. Even a small scratch can also be detected.

Payment within 24 hours, the future of used vehicle sales?

While you go shopping for example, the ProovStation teams work on a firm purchase proposal, which is then sent to you in a few tens of minutes at most, in the form of a check, which you can freely accept. or refuse.

The last step, if you accept the offer, remains that of handing over the vehicle and payment. ProovStation promises to pay the amount into your bank account within 24 hours, and undertakes to pick up the car at your home or at your place of work directly. One less constraint.

For the moment, there are five ProovStation stations, all installed in the car park of a Carrefour shopping center, in Vénissieux (69), Aix-en-Provence (13), Vitrolles (13), Montesson (78) and Orléans (45 ). But the young, rather promising company aims to install 35 more this year. Does such a concept appeal to you? We are curious to know.
