Pop singer Jürgen Drews is no longer the youngest – but he does everything to stay healthy. After all, the Malle star still has a big dream that he would like to fulfill …

How is Jürgen Drews doing? After all, the pop singer celebrated his 75th birthday last year. And as he says himself, he is already noticing that he is getting older. The interpreter of "Ein Bett im Kornfeld" only has one wish: He would like to lead his daughter to the altar.

Jürgen Drews: "You never know what to expect"

With "Das neue Blatt" Drews gave a family interview with his wife Ramona, 47, and their daughter Joelina, 25. When the question arises of whether he dreams of taking his daughter to the altar one day, the 75-year-old can hardly hold back his tears. "I almost cry at the thought of it. That is totally stupid. I always have to cry immediately when something moves me," he explains his emotions in the conversation. In addition, at 75, he naturally worries that he might not be able to lead Joelina to the altar anymore.

"I live very healthy, but you never know exactly what to expect," he adds. "The strength in my legs is no longer there. Every morning when I get up, it feels like sore muscles. Then I have to move first. But I say to myself: Drews, don't complain. You're 75. Other sit in a wheelchair at that age. "

Ramona Drews takes care of her husband

Drews also does a lot for his health: According to Ramona, he is now taking it easy and giving up alcohol, as the singer himself proudly adds. He can also rely on the support of his wife: "I found a great chauffeur in Ramona. We have had a new Mercedes since August that I have never driven before." She drives him to his performances because driving tires him, Ramona explains this step.

She also makes sure that her husband see a doctor regularly. Mainly because Drews' mother had dementia. "We know that dementia cannot be cured, but you can at least put it in a state where it does not develop in a striking way," said the pop star. He is becoming more and more forgetful, but he has always had a bad memory, he admitted and added with a smile: "But I still remember our wedding date!"
