The “Schlagerchampions” will not be seen in January due to Corona. But you don’t have to do without Florian Silbereisen entirely.

Actually, the big live show “Schlagerchampions” with presenter Florian Silbereisen (40) was planned for January 15, 2022. But as ARD has now announced, nothing will come of it due to the still tense Corona situation.

The reason given in a statement by Klaus Brinkbäumer (program director) and Peter Dreckmann (head of entertainment) said that “DWDL” is available: “With a view to the health of everyone involved in this production and with a view to our social responsibility, we consider the cancellation of this large-scale production to be the only right decision.”

Silbereisen replaces itself

Furthermore, the experts are currently warning “of a fifth corona wave” for January next year. In the course of the resulting necessary contact restrictions, they consider it “irresponsible” to stick to the original show concept.

Nevertheless, on January 15, 2022 (8:15 p.m.) Silbereisen will welcome the MDR audience. Instead of “Schlagerchampions 2022”, the replacement show “Schlagerstart.2022 – Silbereisen goes on” has been announced, which is intended to provide entertainment on a smaller scale, depending on the current situation.
